the people who own the chinese restaurant next to my mom’s place are extremely nice people who cooks incredibly terrible chinese food. I’m surprised the have customers when they make, quite possibly, the worse chicken wings in the city. well, not too surprised since a lunch dish with drink is only $4.50, but still, I wouldnt buy their food if they weren’t our neighbor and orders seafood in bulk for us.

Which meant, most of the village boys who did not have outside help probably couldnt afford to find a wife unless they ventured into the city, and even then, village boys with little education and no money have a hard time because of the skewed male: female ratios throughout the nation.
The village had so few women, on the wedding date, all the moms in the village told her mom that she should have given birth to 4 daughters instead of one. she would have been set for life.
